But there is always one downside. "Why can't I fit in the fairy house mama? I want to be a gnome and go i there."
Some might call it a modest lean-to, but to Z and his buddy K, it was a giant fairy house. They toiled and hauled large limbs and dusted away daddy long legs with piney fairy brooms and balanced sticks and decorated just so.
Long after K and her family had to go home, we stayed in the forest. He just sat under his little house, soaking up the space, my little gnome. And I just watched him, blissed out on little boy and big woods.

What a wonderful life-size fairy home! I'll bet Z had a blast getting to be a gnome for a day. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic! What a magical day. I sometimes wish my boy was still into them...maybe I should propose a life-sized one!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!
ReplyDeletewow, what a wonderful, magical dwelling they have built. I love their creativity!!!
ReplyDeleteI used to build quite similar child sized homes in the woods growing up! Fairy's weren't on my 'radar' at that time though so they were just forts :( How much more fun it must be to make fairy houses!
ReplyDeletesigh. that's good stuff! kisses to you beautiful mama!
