exhale

We're still catching up back here on the boat. Jet lag is still rearing its ugly head as my boy chatters until midnight. The unpacking seems endless. The cold is pushing us indoors more than usual. And the terrible antics of Mother Nature threw our whole weekend out of whack. With a major, devastating earthquake in Chile (where my step-dad lives along with all the cousins and tias and such from my mom's side) and the threat of a tsunami in Hawaii (where my dad, step-mom, and friends are)... we spent most of our first days home wringing our hands and furrowing our brows, waiting on pins and needles for news from loved ones. The long and short of it is, everyone is ok. Our last unaccounted for family members finally checked in yesterday, on my birthday, and that was the best gift of all. Words cannot describe how happy we are to be home. Bear with me as I try to catch my breath and crawl back to normal...

Awww...happy birthday, Cindy! I bet that was the best birthday present--finding out everyone was ok. I hope things return to a bit of normalcy soon. Btw, have you ever tried "No Jetlag" or "JetZone"? Both are homeopathic jet lag remedies that work really well. When I took Finn and Elizabeth to Ireland, it took them less than 24 hours to adjust to the time change. Very worth it! We're taking it to London in a few weeks as well.

Glad you made it home safe and sound! I am really interested to learn more about what and how your parents do it? Please share any and all details of their off the grid farm life. Also, what kind of camera and lens did you use for your postings? You have me reeling with curiosity now! blessings of peace and rest, Jayna

Happy Birthday sweet Cindy! I so loved your holiday in Hawaii but know how good it is to be home at last :-) Hope the jetlag works its way off the boat soon and what a relief all your family is okay. What a strange time our dear earth is having lately.

Whew....I'm glad you know your family is safe. Happy Birthday and good luck getting back to normal life in Maryland. How much snow is there now? I have family in the Washington area. My brother-in-law had to dig out a play area in the back yard for his small children. The snow was over their heads! love, Beth
