PLAY

Who says you need a huge house full of toys to have fun. With a few basics (play silks, animals, play people, a few wooden vehicles, some pirates and a ship, gnomes and a stacking rainbow) and a load of imagination Zach manages to stay happily engaged (no batteries required!)

That's One Tired Boy

He was headed down to our cabin to get in his PJ's for the night, but he never made it.

Chicago (April 2008)

We had a nice visit with Grandpa & Granny over at Uncle Aaron, Aunt Linda, and cousin Ben's place. We stayed at Tio & Tia's and had all sort of fun with them & cousin Katie and of couse Daisy Dog! It was only a few days, so that was difficult, but we'll be back in November!

Zach was SO looking forward to seeing a "real live" T-Rex!
So we made a trip to the Field Museum with cousin Ben and Grandpa & Granny.

Getting to finally see Sue the T-Rex up close and personal was very exciting for
Zach!

... but there are few things in a 3.5 year old's world that compare to the thrill of
seeing a REAL mummy!

... and playing the drums!

Swinging at the park with Grandpa and cousin Ben.

Playing superheros with cousin Ben and Granny.

He is STILL talking about this park. "The one with the real pirate ship in it!"

Michigan (April 2008)

We spent a lovely but cold day in Michigan at "the cabin". When we arrived Zach said, "Mama, we have a beach house? This is OUR place? This is OUR beach? How come you never take me here?!"
If only Ohio weren't in the way.

The Gang (May 2008)

Zach has a group of buddies that have been his amigos since before he could walk. Whenever people give us the old "socialization" talk about homeschooling I just point to these guys. He's plenty socialized, usually with one or all of these kids three or four or more days a week. And you can see how much they love each other!
