FIRST FISHING TRIP!

Our friends Scott & Lisa took Zach out (and mom & dad too) for his first fishing trip. We went out in the Bay on Scott's boat (a nice big power boat). We only caught little fish - nothing eating size. But I don't think I am ready to explain the whole catching-killing-eating cycle to him just yet.And of course no fishing trip is complete without beer. Here is Zach trying to steal daddy's Negro Modelo. As Cap't Ron once said "Hey swab, go get your own beer."

Look Who Dressed Himself?

Zach was very excited about the coming of Ernesto (the storm that is)
He decided to put on what he decided was proper storm gear and was ready to head out into the teeth of the gale.


... but we convinced him to wear something a little warmer and dryer before checking out the storm.

SAILING!! (august 27 2006)

Well many hours of engine work later just to get us out of the bloody slip -- we finally got in a nice day of sailing! Many thanks to all of our friends who helped with the many projects needed to get this beast underway.
Here are photos from our day out. about 15 knots of wind. Boat was avergaing 9.5 knots. - yaa-ha! Zach was laughing and cheering the whole time and we were thrilled that he was having so much fun and was so independent while underway.
We did have a jib car explode and Shannon got mangled by a whipping jib sheet. But overall we had loads of fun!
We were out with Will, Baby Jett and his mama Jaclyn and dada Shannon.

FUN on the FARM!

Zach decided that he wanted to see a "real farm". Well, we found as close as we can get around here... a nice local petting farm. He was in heaven.
