But there is always one downside. "Why can't I fit in the fairy house mama? I want to be a gnome and go i there."
Some might call it a modest lean-to, but to Z and his buddy K, it was a giant fairy house. They toiled and hauled large limbs and dusted away daddy long legs with piney fairy brooms and balanced sticks and decorated just so.
Long after K and her family had to go home, we stayed in the forest. He just sat under his little house, soaking up the space, my little gnome. And I just watched him, blissed out on little boy and big woods.

What a wonderful life-size fairy home! I'll bet Z had a blast getting to be a gnome for a day. :)
Fantastic! What a magical day. I sometimes wish my boy was still into them...maybe I should propose a life-sized one!
What fun!
wow, what a wonderful, magical dwelling they have built. I love their creativity!!!
I used to build quite similar child sized homes in the woods growing up! Fairy's weren't on my 'radar' at that time though so they were just forts :( How much more fun it must be to make fairy houses!
sigh. that's good stuff! kisses to you beautiful mama!
