keeping up

(violin class always makes her happy, despite the screeching)

The little Miss is 7 weeks old now. And her favorite thing in the world is already following her brother around. Though following him with her gaze is the extent of it, it's clear she wants so badly to keep up with him. From watching his lips so closely and answering his chatter with baby ooooohs and ahhhhs... to trying to keep her head steady long enough to see his latest antics.
(come on little sis, this is how you crawl, you can do it)

She is fascinated with him and a little wary of him all at the same time. As a little sister myself, that's a mixed bag that stays with the relationship throughout.  :)
(Hey mom, you're not leaving me alone with him are you?!)

(he always wants to be touching her and holding her and kissing her and... you get the idea)

He wears her out. She wears me out...
So by the time daddy gets home from a long day of work, we can all be found something like this...
Because we're all just trying to keep up.

The exhaustion is to be expected at this point. But all that love and adoration -- hope that's what you remember most.
