and away we go

You know, sometimes I stare at the computer in February and think, "Wow, nothing has happened for like 3 weeks. Man we need to get a life. Things sure are slow around here." And now here we are in June and I swear we are busy from now until Halloween. How does that happen?

So without a lot of blah blah blah, here are some photos from our first trip out of the season last week. Just a little sunset jaunt for Zach and his buddy to get in some deep water fishing. And although I caught a few smiles here and there, we're pretty sure that Naia experienced her first dance with seasickness. She didn't lose her lunch, but she was muy serioso the whole trip and it was a bit of a rough ride. On the up side, she wasn't running up and down the decks the whole time.

Poor Naia! She and I must be cut from similar cloth. He doesn't appear here often, but that's a great shot of Doug.

Yes my international man of mystery. He and I are both camera shy.
It was a beautiful evening!
Oh bless her. She has a similar expression to the one Nim got when we were tacking out into the Bay of Islands this summer. Not sick exactly, just very quiet!
Naia is so stunning tho, even when queasy. Looks like the boys had fun!

I sure hope this isn't something that gets worse. Fingers crossed!
Poor baby :( I've read your blog for years now (I think I found you from SouleMama?) and just had to tell you we were gifted a 9' sailing dingy yesterday. I've already made the mental jump from that to living on our own vessel year round (nevermind none of us know how to sail, or even paddle correctly) and the search for our perfect home has begun :) Thanks for all the inspiration!

How fabulous, congratulations! Those little sailing dinghies are the best way to learn to sail. The rest of our lifestyle is just repairing things in exotic locations. Best of everything to you!
I finally made it back here! Looks like I have a bit of catching up to do... I love that sunset picture. I'm very jealous, as we are kind of between boats right now, with the move from MI to TX.

Your move sounds exciting though! Keep me posted and let me know when you want to meet my TX friends.
