Beach Bliss

What is it about a mama-and-kids get away to the beach that is so utterly soul cleansing? The children just go and go and go with nary a complaint or whine.

The mamas chat and indulge in chocolate and wine and fresh seafood. We lounge in the sand and feel the earth spin and the season change at a cosmic pace.

And we all picked the shore clean of shells. Shells and shells and shells.

Don't ask me what we're doing with our bags full of shells, I haven't a clue. But they just called to me. They had to come home with us. Maybe I'll do a seashell grab bag give away ;)

The light was perfect. The jellies were glowing.

The air was crisp and warm all at once. And it was as if every wave was sent just for us.

The last gasp of beach weather with autumn nipping at our heels made it all the sweeter.

oh the ocean is pure magic isn't it. I adore the beach - especially on the days when the wave are just perfect and sent in especially for us to float over. Hope you've soaked up enough to keep you warm over winter :-)

ahhh... I loved reading this post! I feel relaxed just by reading your descriptions of this perfect day, wine and chocolate on the beach while babes playing happily nearby!! This sounds like my kind of day : ) The glowing jellies, and bags full of shells, loved that! The last photo is incredible, the colors your little one just perfect : )

Ah, it does look like fall. I can feel the chill in the air and smell the cinnamon just looking at these last few posts. Everything is crisper these days.
