She moved... but the wrong way. Her little coconut head went straight up in my ribs. *sigh* So once again the crazy antics as suggested on spinning babies began. But the most fun of them all was the pool.
(my sad feet, like loaves of rising bread, toes like stuffed sausages... oh how they love the pool)
You can't imagine the hysterical little laughter (nearly drowning himself while treading water and giggling so hard) or the horrified look on the lifeguard's face as I heaved my huge pregnant boy into the deep end, turning endless somersaults and walking across the width of the pool on my hands.
But guess what... it worked! I felt all kinds of movement and the next morning that little coconut in my ribs was gone. I dashed into the midwives for a check and they confirmed, baby is head down and ready to rock!
(This image is from Nikki McClure. We have this print hanging on our wall and I try to focus on it each day. You can buy this print and more of her fabulous work HERE.)

Glad to hear "Earlene" is finally heading south.
Oh, look at those sweet preggo feet! I remember those so vividly, and I'm sure I will have them again as I will be in summer months my entire pregnancy- thanks Southern Hemisphere! Good Luck as hurricanes pass by, we'll be waiting to hear of this sweet one's arrival on board!
ooooooooo ..... I'm so excited! I can't even begin to imagine how glorious it must be preparing for this birth with Zach there by your side. Wow! btw, I truly feel sorry for your feet - your poor sweetie! It must be so uncomfortable.
oh good to hear! Both of my girls went head down no problem. This one I'm carrying now, I'm not so sure. He feels like he's ALL OVER the place...
Woohoo for spinning babies! I'm glad the pool has been relaxing for you. :) Love that Nikki McClure print, but then I haven't met one yet that I didn't love.
Whoa! Walking across the pool on your hands, impressive!! Sending lots of 'head down' vibes to your littlest one!
Hooray! I had the same issue with Fiona, What worked for her was acupuncture and running aorund with an ipod in my pants!
Hope everything goes smoothly...
I was heavily pregnant with my daughter in August to(down in Florida). I wore flip flops for months.
Spinning babies helped me out so much to. At 39 weeks my daughter decided to do a somersault in my stomach and turned breech. I swam for a week straight and thank goodness.
congrats on flipping that baby! pregnant woman sausage toes are just the best ;)
You need one of those big centrifuges like they use for training astronauts. Whirl around in them for 10 minutes and I'm sure the baby will spin around...
Ev
I apologise for Ev... I belive he had a similar plan for me before Maia flipped. But your feet lady. Owww! Mine are swelling in the heat and humidity here and it's killing me. But yours look terrible.
yay for you! so glad baby decided to cooperate. ;)
yay! congrats on the baby position! why no pictures of you turning somersaults?! :D just teasing. i have been in love with that same nikki mcclure print since i was pregnant with quinn, it was the center image of my birthing altar. all of her work is stunning, but this one just took my breath away right from the beginning.
Yahhhhhhooooooooooo!!!!! Head-down baby girl! That's right!!!!
oh, i remember all the suggested movements and that's great that you were able to do them in the pool. way to go. your poor feet, though.

Way to go birthing sister! What a way to work with it.
Sending you love and birthing vibes!
Good luck! I hope she stays put now.
Sooo happy to hear it!
that is so so wonderful Cindy! My first was posterior, and Silas was transverse till he finally moved- love your swimming pool tactics! I wanted to share a couple things- one thing that was so magical to me was that my midwife gave me a mantra with Silas birth- with each rush she said that one is done you will never have to do that one again- that let me keep doing the next one, and the next one and oh yes even the next one! May your beautiful feet lead you on a powerful and amazingl birth journey with your second baby!
