They asked me to write a feature story (that ended up being a cover story!) "all about living aboard". I have to admit when I first got the assignment I drew a blank. It was like, "what I did on my summer vacation" --snore. But I have to give kudos to my fabulous editor at Spinsheet Magazine here on the Chesapeake who helped me think outside my boat bubble and come up with an angle that might be interesting to folks who aren't in this little tribe. I hope it reaches across boating and non-boating lines and normalizes our lifestyle.
I was thrilled at the little surprise on page 4 where the editor of the magazine referenced my story specifically!
And here is the actual story on page 45.
A big thank you also to Laureen Hudson and family over at The Excellent Adventure for letting me interview them. And to my dear friends Chris & Dave of Felix The Cat Charters, our old dock mates Shai & Lorraine Talmi, and fellow live aboards on the left coast Charlotte & Eric Kaufman for their keen insights.
Adios for now, I'm going sailing!

How cool and I loved that you even posted the article so this landlubber who sails on the rolling Palouse wheat fields can read it! Well done :)
