i'm your 'iraq' visitor (if you follow your tracker widget thingy) i try to check in every day, as you are living a dream of mine. I'm curious as to where you are living (what continent, what marina etc) and how you found it. Take care, keep up the great work!

Hello to you in Iraq and welcome aboard! Are you overseas in the military? We know several vets who have come home from service and bought a boat to live on. We've been aboard for 11 years now, including some cruising before our son was born. We're on the Chesapeake Bay and this is about as far north as you want to be aboard full time. Thanks for checking in! Feel free to ask any questions and check out cruisersforum.com for a very lively discussion about all things boat.

Uggh. I detest living in a work zone - especially on a boat! Full sympathies from me! I am so thrilled we've moved off for a year from our 35' Coronado while dh gets super down and dirty with it.

thx boatbaby, yes, i'm a pilot in the military, and over here for 'work'. Although mentally i'm ready to ditch it all and start living aboard tommorow, i think i'll wait a few more years for my pension - between that and my real estate, i should be ok. Also, have to get the wife and kids on board (right now we're just charterers) BVI this winter/spring anyone?
