The marina came alive this week. Non-stop rain made the grounds change so rapidly that Z noticed day to day the differences all week long. The seeds dropped from the trees and covered the grass. The leaves are noticeably larger each morning. The green shoots of the phragmites are finally fringing the shore line. The goose family hatched early and the babies are waddling all over the place like downy dwarfs marching in a line. The snakes are lazing everywhere trying to soak up the odd rays of sunshine that peek through every now and again. The jellies are bobbing by, larger and redder than last year.
We decided to celebrate by painting Green Man masks. Z said he wanted to blend in so the animals wouldn't run away from him.
...but then he decided that "all green is boring. The world isn't all green. A nature monster would have all the colors in him." So here is the not so green Green Man.
