I'm delurking because I have a question about this post.
But first, I want to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I ran across it on MDC and read it religiously now! Everything you share is so wonderful and fantastic AND heartwarming.
Not to mention all the notes I'm taking if we ever manage to fulfill our dream of owning a boat!
Now, my question...what IS that fabulous looking book on the nature table?! My daughter is turning two next week and she adores books. That looks right up her alley!

Thanks Rhiann! The book is Arond The Year by Elsa Beskow. We adore ALL of Elsa Beskow's books, lovely stories with beautiful illustrations.
